FineCast was founded in 1970 by Dr. Edward Funk. The company was purchased by Jeff Pahre and Tedd Stewart in 1988. Sales are $5-8 million per year.
The company manufactures precision cast parts using the investment casting (lost wax) process. FineCast can produce and machine parts in a wide range of ferrous, aluminum and copper alloys. We can satisfy the full range of customer requirements for a finished part. We have suppliers for heat treating, plating, passivation, annodizing and other coatings. Our machine shop includes CNC equipment, and associates skills developed since 1975. Our machine shop includes CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers, turning centers, various types of drill processes, plus blanchard and surface equipment and three axis CMM.
Since 1988 FineCast has adopted rapid cycle time processing and employee involvement. We can satisfy customers that respond rapidly to their markets.
Employee involvement at FineCast means implementing self-directed manufacturing teams. They are trained and supported by leaders with manufacturing, engineering and quality experience and skills. A steering committee sets policies and reviews performance weekly.
We measure our success with customers and internal teams weekly for most criteria, and are able to respond quickly to surprises.
Our strengths are our people and knowledge of our processes.
We are striving to continuously improve our people and our processes, and thereby our capability to satisfy customers. |
